Monash Berwick welcomes new students

Monash University Berwick welcomed its new students for 2007 in an official ceremony on Monday February 19.

The ceremony began with an academic procession and a traditional Welcome to Country.

Pro Vice-Chancellor and Academic Director Professor Phillip Steele and Mayor of the City of Casey Cr Colin Butler greeted the students.

After the ceremony, students learned more about the Berwick campus before taking a tour.

The Official Welcome was the first event in many other Orientation Week activities organised by Monash Berwick and MUBS.

Call for Papers

Organisers of the Animated Dialogues 2007 Conference are calling for papers to be presented at the event.

The three-day conference, located at the Monash Berwick campus on June 17 and 18, will be co-hosted by Murdoch University, Deakin University and the Victorian College of the Arts.

The confirmed key-note speaker is Professor Paul Wells, Director of Animation, School of Art and Design, Louborough University, UK; Vice President, Society for Animation Studies.

Abstracts (250 words) and full-length papers (3000-4000 words) are now invited. Please download submission guidelines or email animateddialogues@arts.monash.edu.au
