Berwick Campus News – Tuesday 18 JulyNewsNew entry scheme for Monash Berwick Students from a number of schools in the south-east region
of Melbourne will be able to sit an aptitude test for entry into courses at
Monash Berwick in 2007.The new Monash Aptitude Test Entry Scheme is a pilot for the university and up to 500 eligible VCE students will be able to sit uniTEST free of charge in September. If they do well enough, they will be offered a place in one of the Monash Berwick courses participating in the scheme, as long as they meet any VCE prerequisites. Pro Vice-Chancellor and Academic Director of the Berwick campus Professor Phillip Steele said the new scheme would give some students an alternative pathway into university. "This initiative is consistent with the University's aim of attracting the best students regardless of their means or circumstances. We know that for a range of reasons, some students' ENTER scores do not reflect their potential," he said.
"The scheme gives them another chance to demonstrate their capacity to succeed at Monash." Further information on the Monash Aptitude Test Entry Scheme is at www.monash.edu/study/applications/undergraduate/musas.
