The Opening Ceremony for the Orientation Week was led by Wurundjeri Dancers. Professor Phillip Steele PVC, Campus Coordination, Academic Director Berwick and Peninsula welcomed new students to the Berwick Campus. Other guest speakers included Cr Kevin Bradford, Mayor of City of Casey, Mr William Nicholson, Indigenous Elder and Mr Ben Maxfield, President of MUBS.
The Orientation Week included talks from different Support Areas and Faculties at the Berwick Campus. Students were also treated to free pizzas and BBQ's during the week.
Further to Lionel Frost's flagging of the Research Quality Framework (RQF) as an important activity for all staff to engage with this year, Professor Max King (PVC, Research & Research Training) and Professor Rob Brooks (Acting Deputy Dean (Research), BusEco) have kindly agreed to provide a presentation and lead a discussion on "How it will work”.

Please note as part of the Learning Commons Project, the Library, ITS and Computer Laboratories will now be know as the Berwick Library and Learning Commons.
The Library and Learning Commons are now located on the ground floor of building 901. For access to the computer laboratories or technical assistance please contact ITS in Room G24 or phone 99047777.

The Vice-Chancellor Professor Richard Larkins and Pro Vice-Chancellor Professor Phillip Steele will be addressing all Berwick Campus staff on Friday 3 March 2006 in Lecture Theatre 117, Building 901 at 10AM.
The purpose of this meeting is to discuss current strategies for the future growth and development of the Berwick Campus.
