BOOKSHOP

The Bookshop has a number of items on ‘Sale’ including 2006 diaries, organisers, CSIRO diet books, books for children and adults and wall planners for only $1.95.

The Bookshop also sells mini discs, film for digital cameras, cartridges for printers, cards, stamps, batteries etc.

All clothing in the Bookshop had been reduced by 20% until the end of semester.



VCE REVISION 2005

VCE Revision classes were held at the Berwick campus on Saturday 8 October and Sunday 9 October. Around 315 students from various schools attended the classes. The classes were run by highly experienced VCE teachers from the regions’ secondary schools.

Revision lectures were offered for the following subjects: Accounting, English, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Health & Human Development, Psychology, Physical Education, Business Management, Mathematical Methods, Further Mathematics, Specialist Mathematics and Legal Studies.



BRUP LAUNCH

The launch of the Bachelor of Regional & Urban Planning which will be offered at Berwick from 2006 was held on Tuesday 11 October 2005. Professor Phillip Steele Pro Vice Chancellor and Academic Director Berwick and Peninsula welcomed guests to the Launch. The official address was made by the guest of honour The Honourable Rob Hulls MP, Attorney General, Minister for Industrial Relations and Minister for Planning.

Other prominent guests at the launch included Ms Tammy Labato MP- Member for Gembrook, Mr Dale Wilson - MP Member for Narre Warren South, Councillor Neil Lucas – Mayor of Casey, Mr Jerry Ellis – Chancellor, Monash University, Professor Homer Le Grand- Dean, Faculty of Arts, Associate Professor Heinz Kreutz -Associate Dean Academic Programs, Faculty of Arts, State and Local Government representatives, representatives from the Cities of Casey, Cardinia, Kingston, Boroondura and Frankston. A number of Monash Executives and staff also attended the Launch.



OHSE WALK

Join us for a walk at the Berwick Campus.

Occupational Health, Safety & Environment (OHSE) has organised a walk (approximately 2 kms) around the local area, followed by a free healthy snack for all the participants.

There will be spot prizes along the way and health tips for walkers. You will also have the opportunity to go into the draw to win a pair of Adidas training shoes.

Date: Wednesday, 12 October 2005
Place: Meet outside the Student Lounge, Building 902
Time: 1.05pm (the walk should take approx 30 minutes)

MUBS END OF YEAR BALL

All Monash Berwick staff are invited to the End of Year Ball.

Date: Saturday 15 th October 2005
Time: 7.00 pm - 12.30 am
Place: Carlton Crest Hotel.

Three Course Meal includes: Sparkling, White & Red Wine, Beer, Soft Drink, Vodka, Scotch, Whiskey, Baccardi, Tea, coffee and orange juice.

$75 for Monash students
$85 for Non-Monash students

($30 non-refundable/non-transferable deposit required upon booking. Photo Identification required at the door.)
