Tools for Health, Resilience, Insight, Vitality & Empowerment
Andrew Marks and Rhondda Curtis, our campus counsellors, are keen to run another cycle of THRIVE sessions for staff.
They will be held in Room 174( Building 902)
Time: 4pm – 5pm on Thursday
Date: May 19 and 26, June 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30 and July 7.
Details of each session are on the Community Services web site.
All staff attending will be given free copies of the excellent relaxation and stress management workbook on which the THRIVE sessions are based and get an opportunity to practice and build on skills gained in sessions. You can attend one or all of the seminars, according to your availability.
Rhondda Curtis is taking appointments now for anyone who wants to register. It takes about 10 minutes and $10 (which is a one off administrative fee) to do this. If interested, please make an appointment by telephoning her on 47221 (answering machine) or emailing: Rhondda.Curtis@adm.monash.edu.au.

MUBS education has been hard at work to bring you the following short courses absolutely free of charge!
There is no need to book in advance, just show up in the student lounge five minutes before class. The courses started at week 5, and will be going on all the way to week 13, as well as throughout next semester.

Monash University has launched a combined internal/external Employee Assistance Program (EAP) whereby staff will be able to access the internal counselling services provided by University Counselling Service or, external counselling service provided by IPS Worldwide (1 300 366 789) and their immediate family members can access the counselling services provided by IPS Worldwide.
Employee Assistance Program provides short term confidential counselling and consulting services that focus on the early assessment and prevention and/or remediation of personal problems experienced by staff or members of their families in dealing with personal issues which may include:

Supervisor Assist is an extension of EAP and an advisory service available through IPS Worldwide (1 300 366 789). Supervisors can contact an experienced management consultant who will assist in discussing strategies aimed at managing organisational issues such as:
• Managing interpersonal conflict
• Responding to troubled employees who are having an impact on work
• Assisting an employee not coping with change
• Managing difficulties with team functioning

All current Berwick students can now register for after hours access to the Berwick Campus MUBS Gym, Student Lounge and Showering Facilities located on the ground floor of Building 902.
In order to access the buildings after 6.00pm until 12 midnight on weekdays and from 8.00pm to 12 midnight on Saturday and Sunday it will be necessary for each student to register by collecting and completing a requisite application form and handing it at the MUBS reception (Room 173, Building 902).
It will be necessary for students to swipe their ID card when entering through Building 901 and sign in and out at the security desk (entrance to Building 901). After hour access is also available to all students for the computer lab G74 and Multimedia labs for Multimedia students. These forms are available from the Student Services Desk.

A retrospective exhibition curated by George Aslanis and Nick Wirdnam

The exhibition reflects upon works of 38 contemporary glass practitioners associated with Monash University, including Lisa Cahill, Holly Grace, Tony Hanning, Niki Harley, Elaine Miles, Janeen Toner and Patrick Wong.
Gallery Hours: Monday to Friday, 9 am - 5 pm and Saturdays 1-5pm.
